Light of Andoran

Wanderings Awry

So, we have saved the town, and rescued some of their kids, but
there seems to be little to no gratitude.

A pair of rugrats went missing over the last couple days, and we
took it upon ourselves to go find them. Vakeer and Hans decided to be
adventurers and go looking for faeries in the surrounding forests. I
guess you could call me an adventurer too, but I am wondering if that is
the best career path for me.

I’m not an altruist, but sometimes you just have to do the right
thing.

Knowing what I know now, looking for the fae is a terrible idea.
They seem ruthless, powerful, and stupid. Not goblin stupid, but more
of a willful ignorance, which is what makes them dangerous. Either way,
they seem to be malicious and hateful little bastards.

I suppose you have to do something, and I would probably be more
than willing to bust some heads if someone invaded my home, so in that
regard, I can see where they are coming from. But just because I
understand their motives does not mean I understand their methods.

What I didn’t see coming was the virtual uselessness of the
druids (the ones that weren’t starting a war between the citizens of
Falcon’s Hollow and the Fae of the Darkwood). So when the dark druids
come running out of the forest and nearly brain me with their clubs, and
then rocks start falling from the sky, you could see how it would have
been nice to have someone able to counter what they were bringing. Or
at the very least a strong sword arm and a warm body to force them to
divide their attentions.

Having my scalp split twice within minutes of each other is not
the best feeling in the world. And strangely enough, getting pelted
with rocks from the sky has been the most painful thing I’ve endured in
a long time, but still a distant second to an axe to the face.
