Mass Effect: Blackwell

Military Specializations are special edges that denote a character’s strengths and the role that they typically fill on a team. There are a total of six specializations—three “pure” specialties, and three “hybrid” specialties.

Once a character has taken a Military Specialization edge and reached the rank of Veteran, their edge automatically upgrades into an Advanced Specialization of their choice (as long as they meet the other requirements). This grants the character another small suite of abilities and bonuses, and further defines what they are capable of.

A character may only have one Military Specialization edge.
