Solaren's Journal, 1st Entry

Myrtul the 6th, 154 AE
It’s been some time since I’ve kept up writing in this journal. I feel I should do it more since I may be the last of my kind and some record of my people must survive. I have found myself in Highmoor on this the 2nd anniversary of the battle of Angorok in which my friend and companion through so many campaigns and marks was slain by the Goblin King Glonin Krak. I remember him today with a prayer to his god and a couple drinks of our favorite brew Dwarven Fire Ale. I miss him greatly he taught me how to be a great warrior and to use my head when in battle. He also told me about my father and what he had done to my people. It is because of this I hunt him still and because of this I’m here in Highmoor. Just a couple days ago I had received word that my father had been working for a council member in this very city, although the informant was unsure of whom it was exactly. I can smell I’m getting close.
