The party gathers the loot from deceased and divides the loot among the members. While the party is strapping each other into their new armor, the party notices that the chanting has quickened, as if they’re trying to hurry the spell along.

The party discusses their next move and future plans when fighting these beasts, while Caldin uses several charges from a few wands to heal himself. The party starts to make their way towards the chanting, not taking any of the ways off the main walkway.

While walking down the walkway the floor falls out from under Grimmjur dropping him 60’ down into a pool of acid. Caldin, Ghyffrey Aybara, and Koloth deftly avoid falling into the pit as the floor slams shut, locking Grimmjur in the pit.

Master Gilnaeus and Flamburkkin help pull the party back away from the edge of the pit. Master Gilnaeus hovers over the floor to where Grimmjur once was then slams down his staff, causing the floor to once again open. Looking down into the pit, Master Gilnaeus light flickers on a green substance down below, but no view of Grimmjur within. Caldin takes a sunrod from his haversack and drops it into the pit, causing a sizzling sound as it hits the liquid as Ghyffrey Aybara tells the group the general area of where Grimmjur is a heals him for a minor amount.

The walkway snaps shut once again, while Grimmjur takes stock on where he is, gauging that he’s anywhere between 30-60 feet below the surface of the liquid. The burning of the acid provides Grimmjur with a minor amount of relief from his aching nutsack. Grimmjur reaches into his pack and drinks a potion, thanks to his water breathing spell, then turns into gas.

Koloth looks around the walls near the pit for a switch off some sort, while Master Gilnaeus slams his staff on the ground, causing the pit to fall open again. While the floor is dropped, Walks with Winds moves down to the edge of the acid and waits for something that appears like an ally to come to the surface, so he can cast air walk on him.

Caldin takes out a potion of resist acid and drinks it, while Ghyffrey Aybara heals Grimmjur for more damage and the walkway snaps back into place. Grimmjur is damaged more by the liquid he’s submerged in. Grimmjur bursts from the surface of the liquid in front of Walks with Winds. Walks with Winds asks in aurin if Grimmjur is still in the liquid and Ghyffrey Aybara feels relief, no more damage, and closer distance between the two.

Having been submerged in acid for so long, the majority of Grimmjur possessions were destroyed by the acid. After several spells, the party is able to make it to the other side of the pit safely.

Walks with Winds leads the group down the walkway that leads to a door, which does not appear trapped, but does appear magic. Caldin steps forward and starts hacking at the door, knocking the door down into pieces. Upon knocking the door down, Caldin pulls out another sunrod and throws it into the middle of the room. The sunrod reveals a part of the room as it sinks down under the water and out of sight.

All around the waterway is a small footpath and in the very middle of the room is a huge pile of treasure. Walks with Winds, upon seeing the treasure, moves out over the water towards the treasure pile. As Walks with Winds gets in front of the pile, two froghemoths
emerge from the water, one in front of Walks with Winds and another right in front of Grimmjur, attacking the two. The froghemoth in front of Grimmjur bites down on his leg in what would have severed his leg, however it is Ghyffrey Aybara who‘s leg is torn off, taking the damage in a paladin’s sacrifice.

The party starts the attack on the beasts; with Master Gilnaeus trying to remember what he’s ready about froghemoth’s, finally starting a battle of wills in trying to hold the monster still, but is unable to overcome the monster. The froghemoth in front of Walks with Winds unleashes a flurry of attacks on him, missing with three, but hitting in what would normally be mighty blows with its other attacks.

Caldin nimbly moves forward to attempt a large attack on the froghemoth in front of him, but is unable to hit the monster. Koloth reaches out and heals Ghyffrey Aybara for a large amount of damage, nearly healing him entirely. The froghemoth in front of Grimmjur starts attacking the Minotaur in front of it. With its first attack, the monster grabs him in his mouth, which the druid attempts to fix by commanding the monster to liberate Grimmjur, but to no avail. The next few attacks hit Ghyffrey Aybara in the chest, who is grabbed up, and misses Caldin.

Walks with Winds attempts to move away from the froghemoth in front of him, opening himself up from attack, then starts to cast a summon spell. Ghyffrey Aybara attempts to cast a spell to escape the grasp, but is unable to cast the spell. Master Gilnaeus casts another spell on the froghemoth in front of him, causing the monster to stop moving, but not releasing those grappled. Flamburkkin moves to stand on the ledge next to the monster. The froghemoth in front of the party is able to overcome the battle of wills with Master Gilnaeus, but still loses his grip on Grimmjur and Ghyffrey Aybara.

Caldin unleashes his attacks on the froghemoth hitting with his first attack doing a mighty amount of damage, severing a tentacle at what could be considered its elbow, and missing with the others. Koloth pulls out a crossbow and starts to load it, as the other froghemoth rushes towards Flamburkkin and attacks, taking the fire giant in its mouth. Grimmjur chokes up his grip on his weapon and attacks the froghemoth, hitting with two of his attacks.

Walks with Winds finishes his summoning spell, bringing in three huge water elementals around the first froghemoth. These elementals start their attacks on the first froghemoth, dealing a large amount of damage to it, seeming to anger the mighty monster. Ghyffrey Aybara defensively casts a spell on himself, freeing himself from the concern of being grappled, then channels to heal those around me.

The wall next to Ghyffrey Aybara disappears and several Vrocks appear,

as several more teleport in the hall behind the party. The Vrocks in front of Ghyffrey Aybara let out a shrill screech, causing Flamburkkin to be stunned by the sounds and drops his sword behind him. Master Gilnaeus turns invisible then moves forward to the other side of Caldin. The froghemoth in front of Caldin starts attacking him, hitting him once and grabbing him then turns his attention to Grimmjur hitting him twice and only finally grabbing him with his tongue.

Caldin uses all his strength to break free from the froghemoth’s grasp, then moves into the corner of the room, opening himself up to an attack that ends up putting him back into the monster’s grasp, which Walks with Winds tries to prevent, but is too far away for Caldin to liberate him with his command.

Koloth takes a small step forward, then dimensionally hops forward to be under the invisible Master Gilnaeus and casts a flame strike on the vrocks just beyond Ghyffrey Aybara, only dealing a diminished amount of damage to the two nearest him. The first froghemoth, which has Flamburkkin in his grasp, swallows the fire giant whole then, turns his attention to the water elementals in front of him, hitting and grappling three of the elementals around him.

Grimmjur attempts to break free from the froghemoth’s grasp, but is unable to get free from the monster’s mouth, while the huge water elementals start attacking the froghemoth holding them, dealing a moderate amount of damage. Walks with Winds moves to the opposite corner, then casts a flame strike on the vrock behind Ghyffrey Aybara, only harming a few of them for a small amount of damage, causing one to fail in his attempt to bring in any of his friends.

Ghyffrey Aybara attempts to cast a spell affecting the froghemoth in front of him; however he is unable to concentrate successfully on the spell. Two of the vrocks teleport next to Walks with Winds and between two of the elementals and several of the other vrocks fly forward to surround others of the party and let out spores on those around them. The vrocks then start to attack those round them, harming those around them for a minor amount of damage.

Master Gilnaeus casts a harmful surge freezing sphere in the room, affecting most everyone in the room. One of the froghemoths takes the full amount of damage and is frozen, while the other one is able to avoid some of the damage and several of the vrocks take the damage. This causes all of the froghemoths to be unable to continue holding the creatures in order to break free from the ice.

Koloth moves around the edge of the room towards Walks with Winds, who appears to be unconscious. The froghemoth in front of Grimmjur breaks free from its icy bonds and Caldin unleashes his attacks on the creature, killing it with a slice to its blubbery head, then moves away from Grimmjur. Grimmjur unleashes his attacks on the vrock flying over his head, critically missing on his first attack and misses with his second. All the party affected by the spores start to take more damage as vines start to grow on them.
Ghyffrey Aybara casts blessing of fervor upon himself, Grimmjur, Caldin, and one of the elementals, then channels energy to heal those around him. One of the vrocks completes its summoning and brings another in, while the rest of the vrocks move forward to attack the party. The vrocks around Grimmjur start their attack on him, hitting him several times and one of the vrocks misses Grimmjur and knocks itself on the ground. Another of the vrocks starts attacking Koloth, hitting him critically in the back for a large amount of damage.

The rest of the vrocks unleash their attacks on the water elementals, dealing a large amount of damage to them. The newly summoned vrock steps into the room, then unleashes an ear piercing screech at Ghyffrey Aybara, Caldin, Grimmjur, and the remaining froghemoth, but affecting none of them. The final vrock casts a spell on himself, which Master Gilnaeus knows to be heroism.

Master Gilnaeus unleashes a finger of death at the remaining froghemoth, killing it instantly and sending it to the bottom of the water. Flamburkkin finally comes to and starts to punch the stomach of the beast he’s in. Koloth dimensionally hops to the other side of the vrock in front of him, toward Walks with Winds, then channels to heal Walks with Winds and himself. Caldin moves along the edge of the walkway to behind the vrock in front of Koloth.

Grimmjur starts his attack on the vrock above him, hitting it with three attacks, killing it and turns his last attack on the vrock that fell previously. Walks with Winds, not conscious, casts heal on himself to bring himself back to full health. The remaining elementals stuck in ice attempt to break free with only one managing to break out, while the last elemental attacks one of the vrocks, destroying several of its mirror images.

Ghyffrey Aybara air hops over to next to Grimmjur and cures his light wounds, while the vrock next to Grimmjur stands, opening itself to an attack from Grimmjur. One of vrocks screeches yet again at Grimmjur and Ghyffrey Aybara, neither of which is affected. The vrocks move next to party members and then all of the vrocks start their attack.

Two of the vrocks start attacking the elemental that’s still stuck, hitting it with four attacks for a small amount of damage. Caldin is missed with all except one attack from the vrock on him. The vrock on Koloth attacks, hitting with two claws and a talon. Grimmjur is attacked by the vrock who stood up, but is only damaged for a small amount of damage.

Master Gilnaeus unleashes a volley of magic missiles on the vrock attacking Koloth, hitting it instead of the mirror images. Koloth takes a small step backward, then hops backwards a little more, then channels positive energy to heal those around him. Caldin takes a small step forward and attacks the vrock in front of him, destroying his remaining image then killing it with his next hit. Grimmjur takes a small step backwards and starts attacking the vrock in front of him, killing it and turning his attention to the next vrock in range, killing it as well.

The final iced elemental breaks free, while the remaining elementals start attacking the vrocks around them and Walks with Winds attacks the vrock in front of him, missing with one attack and hitting an imagine with the other attack. Ghyffrey Aybara hurls a spear of purity at the vrock down the hallway, but is unable to affect the creature and the vrock advances on Grimmjur, opening itself for an attack, releases his spores on Grimmjur and tries to attack, but is unable to affect him.

The vrock by the elementals unleashes his attacks on the finally free elemental, nearly killing it, but the elemental still clings to life. The final vrock unleashes his attacks on Koloth, hitting him with several attacks and bringing him closer to death. Master Gilnaeus unleash another volley of magic missiles at the vrock, destroying another of its mirror images, while Flamburkkin continues to try and punch his way out of the dead froghemoth’s stomach.

Koloth takes a small step to the side, then hops farther away from the vrock and heals himself with a cure spell. Caldin springs forward to the vrock next to the wall and attacks with a vicious attack that destroys one of its images. Grimmjur attacks the vrock in the hall, but is only able to hit the monster’s images, destroying all of them. The water elementals attack the vrocks around them, killing one of them and destroying another one’s image. Walks with Winds starts attacking the vrock in front of him, but only hits with one of his attacks and Ghyffrey Aybara, through his status on Koloth is able to heal him for a moderate amount of damage.

One vrock attacks Caldin, but is unable to hit him with any of his attacks; however another vrock hits Koloth with all of its attacks, with his first attack critically severing his left testicle from his body. Flamburkkin final punch expels him from the beast’s rectum to freedom, at the bottom of the lake. Master Gilnaeus unleashes another volley of magic missiles at the vrock, this time hitting it instead of an image. Koloth again takes a small step away, then hoping farther away from the vrock before healing himself.

Caldin continues his attacks on the vrock in front of him, destroying its final image before finally dispatching the monster and stepping forward. Grimmjur starts attacking the vrock in front of him, destroying all of its images and finally landing a hit on the monster and takes a step away. Two elementals move to the vrock attacking Koloth, while the last moves behind Grimmjur. The elementals attack the remaining vrock, but only the one behind Grimmjur is able to hit any of the vrocks.

The vrocks start their attack, with the vrock on Walks with Winds would hit with both attacks, one is displaced and the other doesn’t deal any damage to him, while the other deals a small amount of damage to Grimmjur. Master Gilnaeus examines the area around him, while Flamburkkin attempts to swim free, but is unable to determine where the surface is due to the murkiness of the water. Caldin sheathes his sword and draws his bow, taking sight on the remaining vrock, preparing to shoot it.

Grimmjur takes aim at, what he thinks is the vrock’s vital organs, and unleashes a mighty blow that kills the vrock. Walks with Winds with Wind puts an end to the final vrock with a mighty blow to the vrock’s right leg. The party gathers the bodies and examines the treasure that was collected from the room.
