The economy in the American United Land is very low. Most of the people living in the giant Cities of the United Land are very poor and only a small few can afford to just keep their children and themselves content. Almost everyone works in the QH11 Plastic factories where they make the highly durable, near-indestructable material. Some are lucky enough to find themselves working on the lower levels of the Government Buildings, which rise above the towering buildings of the Cities.
