Magic
As best as anyone has been able to determine, mana has been pouring out of the Sun ever since the Ontoclysm. No one is certain if this is true of only our star or if others also do this, because the presence of mana declines with distance from the Sun. The result is that Mercury, with its close proximity to the Sun, has so much magic present that it is thaumatologically unstable, Venus experiences heightened thaumatological properties, and Earth appears to be relatively unchanged except for the potential for magery. Mars and Ceres experience low thaumotological properties, while Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune have very little mana reaching them. Beyond 35 AU, mana is so widely dispersed that it does not even register and no magic functions.
Magic uses the Continuous Mana rules and the Very Low Mana rules. The following table shows the various average mana levels on a given planet and its moons.
