Manufactured By: Matter 5 + Spirit 2
Though the Forge Masters speak of magical alloys when combining the perfected metals, sometimes the resulting materials have decidedly non-metallic properties. Umbranium is one of these. Being one of the alloys of Lunargent and Khronicum, it resembles glass more than anything else. It is fragile, easily broken, and the shrapnel is wickedly sharp. It is usually formed into thin flat surfaces, because it has certain mirror-like qualities. Namely, it reflects not the material world, but the Shadow Realm. Such items have been called Skyggespeil, and those who manage to procure them find them incredibly handy for monitoring the spirit world more or less constantly. The image in the reflection is usually darker than usual, especially around the edges, and small eddies of bluish-white sparkles sometimes swirl across the field of vision.
