1st and 2nd of Readying

Two days of resting in Hommlet was all it took to heal from the wounds. The party wasn’t eager to return to the moathouse, since it was nothing more than a goose chase. So they needed a new plan to find the bandits in the region. Maybe a decoy could work.

Marcus, Richard and Jonas decide to leave the group and to travel on their own to Thurmaster. There they want to meet the respected mage Tauster to learn new magic tricks.

So they return to Rannos Davl and Gremag, the two merchants in Hommlet to tell them about their plans. They happen to have a package, belonging to Gordrenn, that needs to be brought to Thurmaster, a small thorp six days of traveling to the south. Since Rannos Davl and Gremag have only one chart, the party decides to hire a second chart from Carter, the local Teamster. They also decide to take a lot of empty barrels and chests with them to trick bandits into thinking it’s a rich transport.

As a last part of their plan they needed a lot more men. So they hired everyone they could possibly find. Elmo, a local drunk fighter, Furnok of Ferd, a local “treasure finder”, Kobort and Turuko, a knight and a monk, Spugnoir, a sage, Zert, a man-at-arms, and Nicholas, A cart-driver working for Davl and Gremag.

A few members of this party of ten were hidden in the carts. And the voyage was started. A brownie hid itself inside one of the carts, but it was discovered by Kitara. Since it was very friendly, she decided to keep it with her. She even gave it a name Otzy.

By the evening the party decided to make a camp inside one of the many caves found in this mountainous region. That night the party was attacked by a mother gorgon and two of her young. The result was pretty harsh. Leonard died, Zert, Elmo and Otzy were turned to stone, Kobort and Turuko were severely wounded, one of the carts was destroyed and one of the horses killed.
