Take a left at the Haddock

Session 6

July 20, 2011 22:13

After being expelled from the city for a period of one year, the party head north. Kiton and Sir Gabriel are riding through the deep snow, the rest of the party are walking, after 3 hours both horses stumble and then Kiton and Sir Gabriel walk their horses as well.
They don’t travel ½ as far that day as they would have before the snow fell.
That night some of the party have a poor night’s sleep and walk up frozen, those that have access to magical warmth have a good night’s sleep. When Turin tries to persuade Mindy the cleric of Sif to help the others, she points out that it’s an article of faith that, “you have learn from experience, and if they are mollycoddled they will not learn how important these skills are.
The next day half the party are cold and tired from a poor night’s sleep. Julian had prepared some herbs that would let him sleep and reduced the time needed to sleep; when Julian wakes up he heals the frost bite on him.
The next night they arrive at the inn, were Sir Gabriel and Kiton are welcomes, but Turin and Julian are barred.

The entertainment from the Bards is mediocre at best, until Mindy starts to sing and puts at the others to shame, a smitten half Orc comes over to get to know her … looks at Sir Gabriel and goes and sits back down. Strangely Mindy’s lodgings are free that night.

It gets to about noon and the party comes to a small clearing, hanging from two trees are two female forms (one blonde, one dark haired) hung by their necks and swinging gently in the breeze. Their eyes have been gouged out. Sir Gabriel and Kiton realize that the bodies are swaying in the wind and there is no wind.

Turin goes forward to cut them down, glaring at Kiton as he goes to help.

As Turin approaches the bodies the illusion drops, a female voice (the female torturer from the mansion) says, “Let me take your breath away” as she creates a vacuum near the clerics and fighters. The cleric of Apollo is stunned, the cleric of Sif drops to the ground with a broken neck, the Kiton is stunned, Sir Gabriel gets punctured with an arrow from a goblin archer and is stunned badly, and Turin gets an arrow in the stomach from a second archer

The cleric heals himself and loads a sling stone, as soon as the stone is loaded he casts Dancing Lights (Lights Creation Lvl 1) which mesmerises the goblins and sends the stone at the approaching knights (the stone exploding because of the magic of the sling)

One of the knights approaches Turin to finish him off.

As Sir Charme, Sir Brace and Sir Montel approach the party, Julain gets off a stun spell (“by Apollo’s light be stunned”), dropping the knight approaching Turin.

Sir Gabriel charges Sir Charme to help Lady Sharla who is fighting Charme and Brace (sending Kiton to the floor as he barges past him).

Julian and Sir Gabriel shake off the vacuum this time and Julian channels his magic at the sorcerer with a roar of “Raahhhh”, he stuns her again.

Sir Gabriel seems to be unable to hit Charme, and Lady Sharla is being battered by Brace.

Turin finally manages to shake off the stun and gets up and starts to cast a spell, as he gets up the magic he summons sends a shock bolt at the fighter, sending him crashing to the ground.

Sir Gabriel shouts, “by Thor’s might” and all of the party feel stronger and more able to fight.

There is another exchange of blows and spells, with neither side making much headway.

As Julian casts Chromatic Globe at the sorcerer he shouts, “By Apollo’s light be blinded” and the sorcerer is blinded for approximately 30 seconds. Just as the ability to see leaves her eyes she manages to summon and earth elemental to aid her allies.

Sir Gabriel calls on Thor’s might to protect them and the party all get +4 to RR

Sir Charme calls on his dark god and parries the blow of Sir Gabriel, as the sword flies out the way Charme lands a thundering blow to Sir Gabriel’s shield arm shattering it. Sir Gabriel hits Sir Charme and stuns him for a round.

Kiton puts an arrow into the Sorcerer, slicing into her leg sending her to the ground stunned.

Turin casts earth to dust at the earth elemental, which sends it back to the ground.
Sir Gabriel casts a spell with a shout of, “Lord Thor protect me”, Sir Gabriel is not sure if it was the power of the spell or not, but at that point the Sorcerer taps into the arcane magic of an item and she and the knights are magically teleported away.

Julian heals most of the wounds of the party, with magic and herbs after removing arrows from people. Julian uses a herb to accelerate the healing of the cleric’s neck.

Julian then casts a ritual on Sir Gabriel to heal his shattered arm.

Mindy makes up everyone’s camp and everyone has a night’s rest (they are on full hit points in the morning)

In the morning Turin puts a blindfold (which he claims is magicalon as is guided west, until he reaches the river and he then turns north.

Julian gets everyone to hold hands as they are led by the blindfolded Mage. Eventually Turin comes to a bridge across the river and turns right, relying on his memory to take him to Lisa’s house.

5 minutes later Turin reaches the low wall that goes around the homestead, and follows the wall until he finds the entrance in.
As they enter the farmstead, they find that both building have been burnt to the ground. All the herbs were ripped up, and the forge taken apart, however there are no bodies to be found.

Turin discovers that there is powerful mentalist magic in the farmstead to prevent detection. Julian tries to dispel the fog, which does not succeed. Julian notices that some carefully selected tools were missing from the destroyed workshop.

Julian puts a rope around Kiton and asks him to carry out into the fog a box with anti-magic properties. Kiton goes out opens the box and nothing happens, he then close the box and comes back in.

Turin tries to attune to the Mask and does not sense anything else apart its natural magical nature.

Sir Gabriel stores Hammerstrike in his sword.

Turin leads the party to the village while wearing the Mask on. They check the church of Thor and find that it has been desanctified. There does not seem to be anything else wrong with the church. They also find out that no one knows Father Bishop Doorknut. When they return to the church a second time they find the building is no longer a church.
They meet a soldier who they talk to, and he tells them the mist has just risen today.

Julian floats up into the air (counting as he does), he rises a couple of hundred feet before he can no longer see anything in the mist. He then floats back down.

The eventually decide to head north and visit granny, with the blindfolded Turin leading the way they follow the river and reach the burnt out remnants of the cottage. The party find the crucified broken (all the bones in the body are broken) of an old women.

Turin de-ices and shatters the ground so they can bury the old woman.
Kiton checks the remains of the house and discovers the house has had faeces splattered all over the place.

They are about to return to the village when an arrow comes flying out of the trees striking Julian. The party takes cover in the remains of the cottage. As time passes Kiton uses his magical ring to go invisible and using the parties own footprints to disguise his, he sneaks out.
Julian heals himself as Kiton looks for the archer, unfortunately he cannot find him.

The party head towards the waterfall. As they get there they are not able to climb up as the ice on the slope prevents them. Turin vaporises the Frozen water and they are able to climb up, unfortunately the ice that was going to stop the wind is now gone and the party are half frozen that night from the icy wind. Mindy sets up a camp and prepares dinner.

After a cold night in the cave, the party head back to the town. As they walk back an arrow comes out of the woods and strikes Mindy in the side.

Eventually the party reaches town and goes towards the keep, at the gates of the keep the meet Barak and ask him some questions.
Julian, “there been any trouble around here”
Barak, “No, it’s been quiet”
Turin, “Any knights or anything like that”
Barak, “Not that I’m aware of”
Julian, “There was some trouble north of here, and someone’s been killed”
Barak, “Orcs?”
Julian, “Trolls”
Barak, “I’ll let the village guard know to keep a lookout”
Julian, “There is something unnatural about the mist”
Barak has his I don’t believe you face.
Julian, “What happened to the church?”
Barak, “What church? Oh the one just outside of town, to Demeter?”
Julian, “Where’s that?
Barak points west

Barak goes and gives orders for Julian’s room to be made up
They visit the church of Demeter but don’t get any useful information from her.
They look around and find the church is spotless, but well stocked

The party head over to the alchemist’s shop, inside is alchemist they killed. They make polite chit chat and find out the mist came up this morning.

Julian goes to a shell of a house and Meditates on cleansing any outside interference on him. Although it doesn’t seem to have an effect, then Julian tries to figure out through his navigation skill and tricks of the trade where the centre of the fog is and works out it is ½ mile south of the village. After a discussion amongst the magic users in the group, they decide that the collective disbelieve of the villagers is the reason the fog is lighter here.

Turin tries to persuade one of the guards to let him see Wilke’s, but to no avail. Julian finds 3 new gravestones in compound of the castle (of Wilke’s wife and children).

Sir Gabriel gets a room at the Inn for a silver a night and Kiton gets one for 5 bronze. Turin stays at the Inn for free as there is a rich knight staying and his money is covering for the room.

That night the party are invited for a meal with the Mayor and his retainers, the food is good and the company pleasant. The next day when the party get up, Julian remembers that yesterday was a nice clear day (the rest of the party resisted the spell, but not by enough to know a spell was cast).

Julian does his pastoral duties for the town, healing people etc. Turin and Kiton head out of the town (until they are clear of the fog), where Turin launches a shock bolt 200 feet up into the air to get Lisa’s attention. Turin and Kiton wait around for a bit but no one comes towards them. Suddenly an arrow (one of Kiton’s) comes out of the woods and strikes Kiton in the leg (stunning him and ripping the muscle).
Turin tries to persuade the archer to stop firing arrows at them and help them find Lisa (the archer stops firing at them, but doesn’t help). Turin and Kiton head north and reach the mountains, when they get there Turin releases another bolt.

A few hours later a party of 6 large trolls, 19 ogres and 69 orcs coming towards them following the curvature of the mountains (towards where the shock bolt came from). Kiton and Turin head south until the war band passes. In the morning they head back to the town.

When they get to the town Julian (who is even more under the mentalist’s (whoever that is) power) rips the arrow out and then heals the wound.

Turin to Julian, “How’s it going in the keep”.
Julian, “Going fine”
Turin, “How’s the healing going?”
Julian, “He’ll be fine in a little bit”
Turin, “Do you require any of the magical items I’ve been keeping for you?”
Julian, “You kept for me?”
Turin, “We’ve been adventuring for the last month together”
Julian, “I think you have me mistaken for someone else”
Julian does a quick examination and says, “You don’t seem to be affected by any condition, but it’s a bit difficult to tell of your race.”
Turin, “How are the rest of our friends. Gabriel and Mindy”
Julian, “They are fine”
Turin, “Sharla”
Julian, “Doing good.”

Julian and Kiton talk to Sharla (who doesn’t recognize them) and Sir Gabriel that does.
Kiton, “We have a huge problem on our hands”
Turin to Sir Gabriel, “The cleric doesn’t remember us, neither does Sharla, but you and Mindy do. There must be some spell on the place affecting them.”
Sir Gabriel, “Evil magic does not affect the pure of heart”.

Julian hears his wife calling him for dinner; he goes to one of the guards if he’s seen her. The guard informs him, she’s just left for their house next to the Inn. Turin sees him and walks out the Inn towards him, mumbling the words to a spell.

Julian chats to the couple that live in the house; Turin casts him into sleep and they carry him out of town.

Outside of town, Julian’s memory returns. The discuss the situation in the town and figure out that if you were affected, you could remember the people who spent the night in the town, but not people who were out of the town.

Leaving Sharla behind the party head north and find the encampment at the foot of the mountains of a large Troll, orc and Ogre war party.

Julian calls down a hawk, a large metal hawk that had been flying above. Julian tries to get it to lead them to Sarah, but it does nothing. The party figure out the bird is probably from another plane of existence and has powerful chaotic and mentalist magic in it. Julian and Turin ask the hawk in human and elven respectively, “Is it here to lead them.” After a few minutes it flies of towards the north, as they follow it, they find that trees have been cut down and a fortified camp is in place around the entrance of the entrance to the Kobold’s home.
Sir Gabriel asks, “Are we supposed to go into the camp”.
The hawk leads them away.

Eventually they decide to head back and ask to come in, but have second thoughts as they start to head in. Kiton warns them it’s a trap. The party quickly retreats from the camp. The camp sends some scouts out to kill them.

Gm to Chris G, as your Paladin is walking next to Mindy he is no longer cold.
Chris T, “Does that mean she has the hots for him.”

GM TO Cleric, Lying is evil
David C, I think you’ll find that when my cleric says this won’t hurt a bit, it’s not an evil action
Gm to David C, you are nasty, nasty man.
Chris T, He’s made no bones about it.

A conversation amongst the players concerning the amount of Magic points each of them gets per level. The player of Kiton seemingly hard done by as he doesn’t get much magic, but he does get a bow skill three times as much as the magic users

As the figures are being put out on the gaming table
David W, “Do you have an archer there?”
Chris T, “Dum-di-dum-di-dum-di-dum-dum-di-dum-di-dum-dum

Chris T, “Can I feel anything special”
Gm, “You can feel the snow, trees, and these guys”
Chris G, “Thanks”

David W, “why are we being guided by a man in a blindfold?”

David C, “I’ll wind the rope up, as he comes back in”.

Players, “Hang on, steady … I say”
Gm, “and that is the sound of a woman running”
David C, “That’s what I thought”
Gm amuses himself with sound effects.

Session 5

July 20, 2011 22:12

The party return to the city to register that with the chancellor’s office that they would like to take ownership of the Mansion in Lady Sharla’s name.
After a number of trips with the priest leading the reindeer, the poor mind wiped women are placed into the care of the church of Madriel.

The priest, mage, scout and paladin return to court and register Lady Sharla’s name as a prospective owner of the house. They then visit lady Sharla and she agrees to come with them to finish clearing up the house.

After a terrible battle to get the reindeer moving, the reindeer finally convey lady Sharla to her prospectively new mansion.

As the party move into the mansion two Geryon fly down and attack the reindeer, the reindeer defend themselves and beat the Geryon. The mage sends a shock bolt at one of them hitting them, damaging it.

Julian leads the reindeer into the barn to keep them safe from attack.

They make their way round through the butler’s parlour and into the kitchen; the scout opens the door and gets attacked by 5 2’ tall twisted, puss riddled, and leprous bipedal insectiods. The scout backups into the parlour as the first one rush Kiton, Lady Sharla puts her morning star through its chest. The rest of the party make the smart move of parrying and using shields to keep the diseased pincers from their bodies. As Turin moves out the way and Sir Gabriel moves in and drops a Nasti. Lady Sharla drops another one with her morning star. Kiton stabs one and then Lady Sharla drops it, this sends a showers of blood on her and Sir Gabriel (both are infected with the poison). Julian spends a few moments to remove the poison from everyone’s system.

As Kiton walks down the corridor and steps into the doorway of the walk in refrigerator and attacks one of the Nasti. Three Nasti turn round and attack him, he can see behind them the partially consumed remains of a small elven girl. The mage Turin puts his head around the corner and casts sleep which drops 6 of them in one go. Lady Sharla steps into the room and drops the last with her morning star.

The cleric insists that the party go outside to clean off the gunk on them as using the water supply in the house might infect the water supply or get into the river and poison people downstream.

The Nasti are wrapped in blankets and then took outside and set fire to them.
Julian cast regenerate on himself, but the magic backfired and he dropped unconscious, only to wake up in the sledge, were he cast healing magic on himself.

While Julian is away Kiton is trying to pick the lock on the tower, after triggering the trap on the lock and getting a nasty bruise, the Geryon try and drop rocks on the people below.

They then disappear behind the parapet

Kiton goes and bangs on the door as he does this (looking up), one of the Geryon drags him into the tower through the open doorway. Turin tried to drop one by a sleep spell. Sir Gabriel smacks into the door and stops it closing, but doesn’t open it. Sharla hits the door and steps inside, as she enters a Geryon sweeps down to grapple her, as it does she crushes its head with the morning star. Turin uses his magic to cause the Geryon to sleep.

Sharla returns to the chancellery and make a formal declaration that the mansion is clean and it is declared her property.

Two weeks later

Kiton is given a list from a Halfling in a pub, its tick list about courting Anrea.

The party was invited to attend Baron Silvergleam at a prearranged time, transport was to be provided. The party is taken out to Silvergleam’s mansion via dog sleigh.

In Baron Silvergleam’s mansion, the party are asked to clear the good name of the church of Venus and stop the corruption of The Grey Cloaks.

Julian asks Silvergleam if he knows any members of The order of the Rose have female companions. No members of the Church of Venus have gone missing, there were some attempts but they failed due to sudden intense groinal pain.

Kiton tries the wine served with each meal to make sure it is not poisoned.

The group return to the city, but later meet up to form their plan.

Kiton & Turin visit the home of one of the knights (Sir Brace), as Kiton tries to open the front door Turin goes round the back and drops the butler into unconsciousness. Unfortunately Kiton cannot pick any of the locks on the doors or the latches on the windows.

Julian visits the temple of Lyder and finds out that if you gain magical overload you can get magical lice and the only way to get rid of them is to not use magic for two weeks or enter an anti-magic zone.

Sharla takes Anrea with her to visit some members of her order as she knows what Charme looks like and give a first-hand impression of what is going on. Going all the way to the top of the order first, Amelia Daan. Amelia has all male staff, but a 15 yr. old daughter who chats to Anrea. They go through the check list and find out that the knights that met them had the same check list. Sharla finds out that it was Sir Brace that was courting the daughter of Amelia. Sharla tries to tell Amelia that the knight courting her daughter is a bad man, but unfortunately she fails and tells her that there is a charming handsome knight that would like to come a courting.

Kiton ties an iron spike on the door and it bounces back, he then tries the spike on the window and it then breaks. Sharla visits to see what is keeping Turin and Kiton, so she breaks the door down (which takes the door off its hinges)

Sharla and Kiton checks the house a bureau (he cleans the powder from around the lock), as he can’t pick the lock he breaks the lock and reads the content.
They then proceed to rob everything from the place, and Kiton puts some of the powder from around the lock in the disguise kit.

Julian and Sir Gabriel see a Honey badger and follow it out of the city. They lose it outside the city and return back to the centre.

Eventually the party meets up and goes through the papers Kiton appropriated, one of the papers is written in Darkspeak the very sight of which drops Julian and Sir Gabriel. It is a dedication to a powerful dark god.

Aris finally tracks down Anrea, who is meeting up with a group of friends (the daughter of head of the order, the sister of a knight of the order and a maid). She informs Sharla that she was sure she was told she could have the night off as she (Sharla) was investigating.

The next day the Seer’s report comes back. Sir Charme did have a meeting with the Rogue men and a representative of the merchant. The meeting is about arranging a way to stop trouble between the men and merchants.

The party checks the houses and everything seems to have been removed, all evidence and everything of value is gone.

The next day they visit Silvergleam (who has been given the box found in Brace’s house). Inside is a black sliver of metal and a light blue stone ring.

The metal is anti-magic and if the all magic in its presence has to make a RR vs 50th level or be removed.
The ring is a curse Ring of opposites.
The bigger lie a member of the opposite sex tells the wearer the bigger bonus they get to perception,
The more anti-social a person a member of the opposite sex is to the wearer, the bigger bonus the get to their social skills.
The more stupid a thing is that is told by a member of the opposite sex to the wearer, the bigger bonus they get to Academic skills.
Etc
Maximum bonus of 45

The priestess of love is wondering if they know of anything if they know anything about the sex strike. Sharla thinks it might have something to with Anrea.

Turin mentions that they have an item that can let them put themselves into a picture and they can then watch what happens.
They try to use the item to put themselves into a picture in the gentleman’s club.

They check a warehouse that Brace owns near the river. It is too cold for Kiton to climb onto the roof unaided, but Julian persuades the rope to attach to the roof and Kiton still cannot climb onto the roof. Even with a boost from Turin he still cannot get onto the roof. Eventually Kiton reaches the roof and opens the hatch and climbs down (closing the hatch). Kiton then opens the door.
They check the warehouse and cannot find anything weird about it.

The party decide to have Kiton on the roof in Turin’s cloak with the door almost closed (him blocking it) so they can see where they come out of. (after tidying up)
Kiton sees 4 men come out of a secret doorway in the bottom left hand corner of warehouse.

The next day they set up a fake party at Sharla’s mansion (with the people going to the raid invited) and after no-one turns up they raid the warehouse in any case. They find a large temple to a dogfaced god. As the men walk in Mass Pleasure III is cast on the men, but they resist the spell.

Julian walks forward with box and then opens it. The magic in the room (which is holding the roof) dissipates and the ceiling falls in. The statue collapses in and so does the roof. (The temple and the corridor are covered in dust). Sharla is saved from her underground tomb by a honey badger.

Lady Sharla turns up the next day in her sexy dress (long velvet dress) and a bowler hat, after saying something to Turin she walks into the court.

The court hears that lady Sharla did insult Sir Charme in the market square (with witnesses). The Seer produces evidence that Sir Charme was trying to make peace between the market people and the gang.

The group try to present evidence but are stopped because they broke the law gaining the evidence.
Sharla gets the girls to present their evidence of a conspiracy.

The evidence about the men having visited the dark temple was from Kiton who is not a person of good standard. The chancellor asks Kiton if he is a person of good of good standing and he lies to the court and says yes.

The party get expelled from the city for the space of a year, but so are the others and Brace is expelled from kingdom.

David C Hoping to gets the insects to come to him, “Help I’ve fallen over. I’m weak and defenceless”. (Surprisingly it doesn’t work)

Someone suggested throwing a snow ball above the tower, so the cleric could shoot a fireball and hit it.
David C, “At 8 points a level I’ll never be that good”

Gm, “Your mansion is very big, actually it’s not yours yet”
Fran, “The operative word being .. Yet!”

David C talking about fireballing David W’s character, “Your what level 2 .. oh you’re not worth the XP”.

Chris T, “No I don’t get bonuses to a sleep spell if saying soft words but shouting them at them”.
David W, “So would he get a bonus if he said, ‘Get to bed your grounded’?”

David C, “Ok I’ll turn up, what the worst that could happen”
GM, “I was told the answer to this one by David W, get all your powers stolen by the military, get attacked by a troll, get sent on a quest by a ghost .Have the restaurant were you and your girlfriend and her mother are having dinner shot up, and your bodies disappear …. Apparently”

GM, “Well taking some wine can stave off heart disease and some cancers and is also carcinogenic for others.”
David C & Chris G, “and it attracts sharks”

Chris T, “He’d get the point”

Fran, “Why not me?”

Fran’s Character to Chris T’s character, “I’m more of a man than you are and more of a woman than you’ll ever get”

session 4

July 20, 2011 22:09

The Gm went through the posted adventures available, and through how a property is claim.
You visit the chancellery and inform them of the property you want, they inform you if it is already under claim or that someone is interested. You then clear the property out and go back to verify the claim.

The cleric, mage, Paladin and scout arrive at the library and are put in a group together. A similar group is also sent in as well.

The central area of the library is a large square building with various tunnels going off, to the book storage areas. There is a big tree in the centre of the building reaching up toward the multi-coloured glass ceiling (which has a lot of bronze built in). There is a circular desk that goes all the way around the tree (there is a small amount of earth around the tree, but most of the roots must be under the floor). There are no leaves and the tree seems very healthy.

There is a big Sign above each of the Tunnels that reads
Warning!
NO magic will be tolerated
NO Weapons or Violence allowed

Julian checks to make sure that these rules don’t apply know, to be informed … “I don’t know … I’ve never been down that one”

The group go down a semi-circular tunnel 1 ½ metres in diameter, and at the end of the tunnel is a burnished steel door (which is closed and locked). Kiton checks the door and tries to open it with his lockpicks. Kiton calls for my light and a member of the other group gets a glass tube with some water in it and a few white stones in the bottom shakes it and the water starts to glow a soft warm light. Kiton checks the lock again and discovers that he worked for the company that made this lock, he tries the lock for the padlock he’s carrying and it opens it easily.

The new building is circular with book shelves to each side, the way to the centre is empty and a set of rectangular tables set so they make a square with an empty space in the middle. Built into each of the tables are two smoked glassed windows with a box with letters set out in it underneath.

Most of the party go right while Turin stays behind to check out the glass, Kiton sees a rat and quickly sends it to its death amongst a shower of book pages. Julian tells him off for destroying the books. Kiton notices that a broadsword wielding, soft leather wearing man is concentrating on a ring. He notices Kiton watching him, walks behind another member of their party and can’t be seen again. As the man disappears everyone in the party gains more magical power.

Further the party see some mushrooms which are deadly white trumpet mushroom, deadly to eat touch or breathe near.

Turin notices a young lucking man reading a book at one of the tables near the back of the room. The young man leaves a book called “The Princess”, which is a story which incorporates ways of winning friends and influence people into a story about a young princess being brought up at court.

The rest of the party are confronted by a rat faced man and there are 6 large rats behind them. Kiton tries to threaten him, but the man says that he is funny so he will eat his liver first.

Calling on the power of his god Julian sends a firebolt at one of the rats, which gets hit by the blow and is singed a bit.

The rats leap up and bit and scratch at the party after a few rounds

The Paladin strikes a mighty blow at the Ratman, who staggers back

After the party gets half way round, they can hear the sound of fighting around the next corner, as they turn the corner they can see the other party are fighting what look like fat grotesque lizard humanoids. The paladin Sir Gabriel charges forward and lands a resounding blow on one of the creatures. The mage Turin sends a bolt of light at one and it starts to quiver and shake like a jelly.
The one that is shaking stops and splits into two, the man with a shoulder harness for his blade in the other party hits one of the lizard things and it starts shaking.
Sir Gabriel hits the creature again dropping it to the floor. He strikes another and does damage.

The other group try not to hit the lizard humanoids, but unfortunately even parrying brings them into contact with magic and this is enough for the lizards to reproduce.
Turin pulls his non magical sword from his cloak and joins the fray.

With the party not using none magical weapons, quickly turn the tide on the Zavour, but as victory seems assured. The other party attack. The cleric and the scout are ambushed by the thief from the other party, who gouges a hole in Kiton’s back. Julian keeps him busy as Kiton gets his equilibrium and puts an arrow through their attacker’s eye.

As the Zavour drop to the floor the party find themselves fighting the other group. Turin finds himself fighting side by side with the Paladin, as Kiton shouts to him, “Get out the way!” Turin realizes where he is and gets out of the way rapidly.
Kiton drops one of the guards and another runs for it, Sir Gabriel finally drops scar.

A strange looking badger watches the entire incident, it gets shooed away, and it goes down the tunnel it dug under the floors.

The party then proceed to loot the dead members of the other party and debate whether to kill their prisoner in cold blood. As the Paladin is about to kill their prisoner he wakes up and looks at his just as the sword pierces the heart.

The mage travels up toward the town of Grimwall, unfortunately the entire area is covered in a fog, Turin cannot find the town or the bridge across the river. Turin visits the Granny and asks what is going on and she answers, “I don’t know”.

Turin goes back to where the town is supposed to be and discovered evil channelling is stopping the mage from finding the town.

Turin visits Louleaf and he agrees to send a party of clerics up to investigate.

A priestess of Sif visits Sir Gabriel at the temple of Thor and demands that he finds her sister, because he is the smallest knight in the place and she thinks she can intimidate him. The Priestess see that she’s not going to be able to intimidate him goes for seduction instead, backed up by magic. Unfortunately for her the magic backfires and she is the one that can’t resist him.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!

January 17, 2011 22:45

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
