The Temple of the Rising Sun

This is the facility where Penelope (Niko’s love, turned ghoul) is kept. Part of the machinery needed to house and transport the blood reserves to feed the caged vampires was designed and built by Niko. I love this concept of these powerful creatures being subjected to experimentation at the hands of Tibetan monks, who we typically think of as pacifists. These monks are still true to their pacifist nature, but have embraced science. They see their work with vampire research as a crucial service to the world. Large caravans of vampire hunters travel to the Temple about every other month to sell their “wares” to the monk scientists.

I anticipate that Penelope will escape from the Temple at some point with a group of other vampires. How have they been altered because of the experiments inflicted on them? I can’t imagine she will be too pleased with Niko at that point. Those who are with Niko when they find him will just be necessary casualties for her revenge. Oops! Sorry Niko…but that is what happens when you lock your girlfriend up for almost a century.

I would love to see one of our vampire allies be captured and sent to the Temple. The Coven of Six would have to go there and rescue them.
