Following the rescue of Raptor from the Wired Alchemy facilities in New Jersey, Graham Tyson is able to download information from the Wired Alchemy servers. Key information:
- Raptor was created as part of something called Project:Valkyrie
- Raptor and his fellow inmates are listed as killed in a car accident during transport
- Project: Valkyrie is run by a geneticist named Dr. Vassker
- Dr. Vassker is connected to a massive multi-billion dollar conglomerate called Dassenbrenner, which in turn is connected to investments that control Wired Alchemy
Dassenbrenner’s CEO is a Scotsman named Charles Yarger. Raptor remembers having seen Yarger during the time Wired Alchemy was experimenting on him.
Noting that Dr. Vassker has a speaking engagement at Times Square’s Millennium hotel, Beastlord and Raptor stake out the site in an attempt to catch his scent for tracking. The objective is to find out what Wired Alchemy’s next steps are.
That night Wired Alchemy stages an elaborate assault on Beastlord and his crew. While he and Raptor are away, a strike team moves on Graham. Only due to the unforseen intervention of another hero (Frostburn) is he able to survive.
Raptor is assaulted by Redhawk and Dominion while Beastlord has a quick, but decisive battle with a large four armed demon (X’Anth.)
Defeated, Raptor and Beastlord barely escape but their encounter makes something very clear. Wired Alchemy wants Raptor back and they have big plans.
