After discovering the false wall in the basement, the Investigators break through (juxtaposing faces and rats in the process) and discover Corbett’s final resting place.
Corbett wasn’t satisfied with resting, however, and after giving the shocked Investigator’s quite a fright, caught fire and fled the house… into the morning sun.
As the Investigators collect themselves over the burnt remains of Corbett, they are approached by a bemused character called Randolph Carter,
“I believe we have much to discuss”.

After receiving a telegram informing the investigators that a long-lost relative has left them a house in Arkham, they travel there to find out the story.
Riffling through the newspaper records, county records and finally medical records, the trail leads them – via an occult chapel – to the house.
