Follies of Youth
One finds law and order in the strangest of places.
Illiir’s first light this morning again brought a pounding from the streets. Another announcement from the city; the recent deaths have caused the locals to declare magic illegal and disband the Guild. I cannot help but think that the SK is somehow behind this. The blatant usage of magic would surely gather the SK’s attention, and now it has. I do not know what alternatives might exist.
The patrician girl continues to amaze me. Surely she is far more ornamental than functional, but it seems she comes out with a great question when it is least expected. The strangely dressed Altherian brought some form of message for her as well. I strongly suspect it is a “Dear Julius” letter. I knew hundreds of men who received them in the legions. Well, he probably heard about her little brazen hussy attitude and activities. I am still wondering what sort of high born woman would tramp across the country with so many strange men.
I am not sure that I like the implications made about how the Guild handles members that go bad? Maybe I should ask more, and maybe I shouldn’t. I shall have to pray to Illiir for guidance.
And to compound our problems, that fool of a girl came right out and named the SK. Whatever was she thinking? Or was she thinking at all? If she brings the might of that island, we’ll need the damn local wizards to aid us.
And finally, we found a child, Anso by name, with a magic stick. He struck down the Altharian with the stick. He clearly got the item from Vigo’s boxes, but where are the rest of the crates? Maybe the sewer goblins dropped one as they took the rest into the undercity.
Now, where do we go from here?
