The party accept the Professor’s posthumous charge, but looking through his books they find a Journal with circled entries.
02/12/12 The party explored the town, talking to local notables and trying to gather information, they spoke toAlendru Ghoroven and won past his distrust with their keen interest in history and the world. They also ventured to the Laughing Demon, an Inn run by Zokar Elkarid enjoying its offbeat cuisine and ingratiating themselves with the locals by purchasing rounds of drinks. ….TBC
16/12/2012 The party left the village the following day, stopping by the temple to see Father Grimburrow and to collect some magical items for protection. They ventured into the prison after scouting the walls (Locating a rat swarm in 1 of the towers & getting strange emanations) and beating off an undead scythe. Inside, they explored the upper prison section before being attacked by Stirges and Skeletons who being controlled by the haunt of the Piper. Defeating the Piper, the trio fled back to the village to heal. They discovered some further occurrences going on in the village, after eating a meal: Strange letters of blood found on various buildings, hauntings occurring in the village and a creepy skipping rhyme sung by 5 local girls.
28/12/2012 The 4th day ended with the group visiting to the Temple of Pharasma and discussing the situation with the Harrowstone Prison. The 5th Day started as a glorious morning, but moods were dampened as the group found a group of people standing around one of the Councilors homes. Apparently, the son of one of the locals was found dead, without a single drop of blood in his body. Once the crowd were calmed, the group were able to get the necessary details of where the boy liked to spend his time and went off to hunt the culprits, believed to be stirges. On the way, they discovered the local monument had more blood writing written on it, this time spelling the words ‘VESOR’ (May be the Harrowstone’s warden’s wifes name). A nest of stirges was located and dealt with, south of the town. No other stirges were located nearby, hence it is likely the situation has been dealt with. The party continued to the prison and ended up mapping out the area they started investigating and continuing to the lower level. 1 of the large doors they were about to open on the ground floor housed a spirit which attacked, but was dealt with by the use of a Haunt Syphon.
