The Tower Keeper espouses perfection and mastery of the body, and is said to give his worshipers longer lifespans, though he sometimes strikes them down with atrophy and disease. Jevel exists as a man on the cusp of adulthood and a withered man at the end of his life, reflecting each state of life to the people who venerate him. Jevel represents the transience of mortal existence, the zest of mortality tempered by its inevitable end, and the cosmic forces of stability and entropy. What is firm and unshakable today may be in ruins tomorrow. As such, he receives special attention from humans, whom feel more rapidly the effects of age itself than any other of the civilized races.

Jevel is the Tower Keeper, a patron to those who keep watch for distant threats and who maintains the edges of society. He is seen as a protector by those who follow him, ensuring that they have long healthy lives. Those who he strikes with disease and atrophy are seen to strengthen the overall civilization. He is the craftsman who builds towers and barriers to keep the darkness out, and at the same time who keeps outsiders from coming in. Jevel embodies the change and awkwardness of youth and the wisdom and resilience to change of a elder. At the same time, he also embodies health and both its perfection and its decline. Many of his priests are doctors, midwives, or hospice healers who seek to offer succor to those suffering from ailments, especially those that come as a result of old age.

The Edges: Edges are the traveling priests of Jevel who consider it their duty to travel the borders of nations, ever alert for threats. Though separated by distance they keep highly organized via message. Once every year they unite to exchange information and see what the others have seen and decide how to best respond. These meetings are highly private and there are many who would give much to find out what secrets the Edges have uncovered.
