In Port Peril we were contacted by captain Tessa Fairwind for a dinner party. She talked about the necessities of an alliance, of having friends, yadayada.
But it was a good party, lots of drink and good food.
Cupcake couldn’t resist trying to get in her pants.
Anyways, next stop for us was Quent, and more specifically the temple of Calistria / brothel there. The high whore (?) should have some intel on possible Chelish spies in the Shackles, and we’re supposed to find evidence of Chelish spies. Somoe political game I’m not specifically interrested in.
Now a temple of Calistria is something else. We were given the option to spend a few hours there. I didn’t. I took Maria out to a nice tavern for some quality time. But Cupcake did; even knowing he would be punished for it.
Well, next morning there was a big fuss. The temple came calling and accused him of murdering the high whore’s daughter. In the end he claimed he didn’t kill her, but found her dead and then ate her body to hide what happened. That is crossing every kind of line I know of.
Captain gave him to the temmple for punishment. He’s gone.
Next we sailed all over the Shackles, tracking down people. it turned out there were spies, and someone was killing them off one by one. We managed to find a ledger with names of important captains and the price it would take for them to side with Cheliax. We gave all our intel to Tessa.
Next we learned the ‘Free Captains’ Regatta was up in a week. Ofcourse we’re going to compete. And the captain agreed with my idea to steal the Sea Wraith for this occasion. It’s never been done before. And it’s sure to increase our rep with the other captains. So we made a plan. We used a spell to hide our work on the ship, and kept that up for days. At some point some clerics came totake a look. They’d heard rumours of strange noises.
And after a week we were done. We blew up the door to the drydock, and I sailed the ship out into the harbour while the captain was on land to roll us in the regatta. Now, we sure were a sight to see. The harbour was packed, and everyone was staring. And with a ship that everyone knows, dwarfing every single ship in attendance, that nothing to be surprised about.
Ofcourse the temple came calling, and they demanded we hand over the ship. But the captain refused. We’re returning her after the regatta.
