Überwelt is the ancestral capital of the Low King of Pedastria. Built east of the swamps of Weltmoe and within the confines of the forest that bears its name, Überwelt was the first defensible town constructed after the Olde Kingsdom of Pedastria was formed. As such it retains a number of ancient architechural features that are not often seen in wider Pedastria.

In the present day Überwelt is a sprawling bastion of a city that is widely avoided. Since the Low King’s “ascension” to lich-hood, it has become a haven for the undead and has corrupted much of the surrounding area. What mortals still live in the city are second-class citizens to the dearly departed but there are many who will willingly fight for their undying king and many more who will follow him out of sheer terror.
