Profit Factor

Your profit factor describes the overall status of your dynasty. It represents both your tangible wealth (ie your liquid capital) and your intangible status, (ie how much people like, respect, or fear you). It is used for acquisitions and for some social encounters.

  • The Rinn Dynasty has reacquired the Svard System. They have returned the manufacturing on Cog and the system’s Promethium mining, and also reestablished trade between Cog and Port Wander. You have entered into the Cold Trade with the Kasballica, snubbing the Amaranthine syndicate. This has resulted in a net +5 to your profit factor.
  • The Rinn Dynasty has acquired a great deal of wealth from plundering The Righteous Path and a great deal of respect for having humiliated Hadarak Fel and destabilizing the Fel Dynasty. Cumulatively, this resulted in a net +11 to your Profit Factor.

Allies, Rivals, and Enemies

The Fel Dynasty

The Fel Dynasty views Hadarak’s failures as his own, and bears the Rinn Dynasty no particular ill will. Rumor has it, Hadarak’s nephew and the new heir apparent of the Fel Dynasty, Abimelech Fel, is actually rather pleased that he was spared the inconvenience of having to have his uncle assassinated.

However, tradition and honor still dictate that the Rinn Dynasty and all associated are persona non-grata in all diplomatic capacities. And the Fel family members are far, far too proud to forget that the Rinn Dynasty achieved a great deal of its new-found status and wealth at the expense of their family…

The Drusians

The Imperial Cult of Drusus at Footfall is grateful for having their pilgrims rescued from chaos pirates in The Maw. While they are of modest means, the widespread and diverse nature of the their flock means that they always seem to be in the know if anything strange is happening in Footfall. However, they are unlikely to turn a blind eye to the open flouting of Imperial law or Ecclesiastical doctrine. Members of the Rinn Dynasty should tread carefully and employ some subtlety or deception if they wish to use the Drusians as a resource in their criminal (or heretical) endeavors.

The Kasballica

Seeing the riches being funneled through to Port Wander by the Rinn Dynasty, the Kasballica has extended an encoded invitation to the Lord Captain Rinn to the discuss the possible purchase of any Xenos Artifacts that might have been found during his travels. The Kasballica Mission is located at Footfall.

The Rinn Dynasty as agreed to cooperate with the Kasballica.

The Amaranthine Syndicate
The Amaranthine Syndicate has made a formal request that Lord Captain Rinn meet with one of it’s emissarys at the Amaranthine Syndicate Enclave at Port Wander.

The Rinn Dynasty as agreed to cooperate with the Amaranthine Syndicate. Yeah, this will end well…
