I’ll play any role, but leaning toward a PHB2 class, just to try them out. Shaman seems like an interesting way to play a leader and I have a cool idea for a shifter drood.
Looks like we’re in business. Wednesday nights for a few hours, starting after May 18 (I’ll be out of town from 7-18). We can get online May 20th and lay down the groundwork for the group and do some town exploration, perhaps.
Also, I’ll be able to pick up a web cam with some of my birthday money. Again, in business!
Let me know what kind of characters you want to run – maybe we can lay the groundwork here, rather than wasting some game time.
what is up ryan and santo. i cant believe we are actually getting this game started after all the times we talked about. but im in just so you know. cant wait.
We can start rolling up character as soon as I have about 4 characters. Finding the time to play, however, is the challenge. Let me know when is good for all y’all.
We’re adding the Mourning, 2.0. There will be a brief lull between the first Mourning and the Great Mourning, during which the normal Eberron campaign setting will have taken place. Heroes will have done great things and such, but the second (or Great) Mourning will still come. With devastation and doom in its wake.
In Eberron, there was the Day of Mourning, which wiped out an entire nation (Cyre) in a single day. Fear of further destruction and weariness of war is what ended the Last War.
“The Great Mourning” is an extension of that original catastrophe, albeit a more temporary one. I’m still considering the exact details, but I’m leaning toward the original gray mist (which sits over Cyre) extending briefly, or extending a few times over the first few years, to wipe out huge areas.
And yes, there will be mutations! What is a post-apocalyptic campaign without copious amounts of zombies roaming the countryside.
I certainly will. I know of one definite player, and likely three more. It depends on getting our schedules worked out, and on finding a good medium. -Vz
I’ve always enjoyed the post-apocalyptic feel. I’m want to have the first few adventures planned out before too long; I’m hoping to run this campaign over the internet, likely using some combination of Ventrillo, Xbox live chat and text-based chat with a web camera. -vz
Session 1 is up now, from what I can see.

Ok, who deleted session 1?
Poke-Spirit, GO!
Quick attack!

Also, when are we gonna come up with characters? I’ve been looking over the TMB page and it looks interesting. I want to play dammit!
Just read the campaign description. Awesome. We’re naming our party the Cavern Serpents :)

So are we Cyran refugees? Or are you tweaking the Mourning?

Excellent intro.
The great mourning, is it sort of like the fantasy equivalent of an atomic bomb? Will there be mutants/mutations?
Well heidy ho neighbor!

Cool! Let me know if you need an extra player. This sounds like it would be a fun setting to play in.

This sounds like my kind of game!
