The Shadowy Men first appeared among the shards only about 150 years ago, and no-one’s entirely sure where they came from. They support themselves largely through acts of stealth and espionage – the best spies for hire are Shadowy – but their attitude suggests that this is largely a sideline. Given their interst in stealth, the phyle includes a surprisingly large number of arcane and divine spellcasters.
