• phyle badge: Tunnelers invariably have a key displayed somewhere on their person, generally on their forearm.
• governance: The overall leader is the Chancellor, who sets policy and manages the ‘big picture’ for the Phyle. The Chancellor may be dictatorial or consultive, depending on personality and what the rest lets’im get away with. Under the Chancellor are a number of Secretaries, each with a defined area of responsibility of interest to the Phyle as a whole – so, for example there are a Secretary of Portal Creation, a Secretary of Exploration, a Secretary of Courier Services and so on. This august body (Chancellor and his Secretaries) is known to the Tunnelers as ‘The Phyle Cabinet’
