There isn’t much to say about the darkest part of “The bad part of town”. It is pretty self explanatory. A bunch of old warehouses that once stored all manner of industrial products for the young city to use.
The entire warehouse block is unused officially. All of the equipment that was used to haul merchandise has long since rusted away in the salty ocean air. And many of the supports in the mostly steel buildings have come loose over time. The buildings are far from safe, but they are absolutely secure as a result. Nobody in their right mind goes into the warehouses, especially at night. Not even criminals looking for a covert place to do their deals.
Many of the warehouses have large open areas for storage with rickety, half decayed catwalks hanging over the main floor and lining the walls. Each warehouse has an office for the building supervisor, but they’ve been completely stripped of valuables.
The ground is covered in sludge, rat droppings, grease, sand, and the bodies of animals and people that wandered in when they shouldn’t have.
There is no reason anybody would want to use a building that creaks and squeaks like it is about to collapse at any minute. It just isn’t sane.
