Under the orders of the Crimson Fleet, the party launched a raid on the submarine of an insane gnome named Frederick of Orange with the goal of recovering several combat golems before they could be employed against the village of Farshore.

Upon entering the submarine, the party learned that a fragment of an artifact created by a long-lost deity and possessed by several Rune Golems had lead Frederick to kill the crew and animate them as undead monstrosities.

Although Frederick was slain, some suspicion remains that he could still be active in some form.
