*An Imperium Invitation. *

Shortly after being inducted into House Vattara, the Explorers are “invited” aboard the Imperial Naval Cruiser Fist of Salvation, along with Lady Captain Vattara. They are introduced to Captain Lennox, and hear out a very interesting proposition: the chance to reclaim a system that was founded by a House Vattara ancestor. All they had to do for Captain Lennox was to discover the whereabouts of a missing Imperial Envoy dispatched to the system. Lady Captain Vattara agrees, and dispatches the Explorers on her behalf, while she makes the relief run to Dulcoraad.

The Explorers are granted the use of the gun-cutter Hotspur, along with her pilot, Hoban Reynolds. Cassandra fills in as co-pilot and the resident astropath, Aestaban their tech enginseer, and the gunners Rook and Gannet.

They find themselves in a decaying and dying system, under the baleful eye of a gas giant. Roiling clouds of gas continuously boiling over the moons and asteroids that are visible. Polnia Prime is covered in ice, with landing platforms barely visible. All cities are built underground, core-ward.

Landing on Polnia Prime, they are met by the Council of Elders, led by Speaker Talik. As they walk through Icehome, the capitol city, they are beseiged by children asking for handouts. Hoban takes some rations and sweetzings and hand them out.
