Featherweight

Information

There was a small engagement along the ridgeline just north of Lake Carpenter along the Davion/Fontesque border last week and you heard the military forces guarding have finished their cleanup and are leaving sometime in the next few days.

This means that lone Mech scavengers like yourself will be combing the region fairly soon.

You might be able to take down a small Mech and hold it for ransom, scavenge it for parts, or even convince the owner to join up with you.

Setup

Daniel parked Sphex in a wooded area above the beach front and waited for a smaller or badly damaged mech to show up.

It didn’t take long for Mechwarrior Mark Bieza to show up in his rather scruffy Locust, Featherweight. Mark’s Mech was in poor condition and he was running out of supplies so this was his last chance to continue as a Mechwarrior.

The Battle

Daniel charged out of the wood as soon as Featherweight got close enough but his missed with most of his first shots in the opening seconds of the battle. This gave time for Mark to get the Locust running making it quite difficult to hit. The battle raged for almost half an hour with both Mechs moving rapidly and providing low silhouettes.

Eventually both of the Mechwarriors and their machines were in dangerously damaged condition and the two agreed on a truce. By pooling what supplies they had they were able to get both machines in decent working order. But, this left little margin for error as they will have to score some equipment soon or face disenfranchisement.
