Here are the house-rules we’re using. Rules that haven’t been made official will have the “TO” (for “Trying Out”) designation.
- Simple Extended Tests: When an Extended Test is being performed that has little or no chance of failure, one test is made. The threshold is divided by the number of hits; the result is the number of intervals used to reach the end result. (For example, Chip is probing a Matrix node for a weak spot; he rolls a Hacking + Exploit [12, 1 hour] Extended test. His first roll gets 4 hits, so it takes him 3 hours to get a result.)
- Diminishing Returns: Some Extended Tests can only be worked on for so long before success becomes impossible. On these tests, each one after the first imposes a -1 Dice Pool penalty.
