Jonas was born into a prosperous family in Hastel, but chose to give up his claims to wealth and political influence to pursue his calling as a priest of the Caregiver. He chose to settle into Vew about five years ago when the current priest fell victim to lung rot and passed away.

Jonas believes completely in the strictures of the Caregiver and is always at the ready to relieve sickness and suffering in the community, no matter what the malady he believes that the Caregiver will keep him safe as he carries out his work. However in the case the worst should happen, he has taken on an apprentice to assist him with relieving suffering and rendering aid to those who need it.
