Essence Crisis

Learn a new Charm that you are eligible for on the spot, regardless if you have the XP to pay for it or not. You must be in a stressful situation in which having a Charm that you do not already know could make all the difference. —examples include combat, debate, making a life-saving potion, giving a grandiose speech that could sway nations from war… XP is spent completely and immediately. If the character does not have enough XP stockpiled to pay for the new Charm in full (if paying for the Charm via Essence Crisis would give the character a negative XP count), then the character goes into XP Debt. Any new XP that the character earns must first be put forth to pay for the Charm that was bought thru Essence Crisis. The character may not improve any other stats in any fashion nor buy any new Charms until the Essence Debt is fully paid off.

• Only one (1) Charm may be purchased via Essence Crisis.
• The character must already have the prerequisites for any Charm bought thru Essence Crisis.
• You may not buy anew Charm via Essence Crisis if you are in Essence Debt from a previous Essence Crisis.
