Essence Crisis — This is a house rule that I’ve seen on another Obsidian Portal Exalted game. Unfortunately I cannot recall the name of the game. Essence Crisis is a sudden spark of Exalted power that can spark at random when an Exalt him/herself within a highly stressful situation in which learning a new Charm at that very moment of need would make all the difference between life and death.

XP Dept — This is a state where a character has a negative XP count after gaining an on-the-spot Charm via Essence Crisis. This is the only time when a character can have a negative XP count. A character can NOT improve any other stats or go through another Essence Crisis until an existing XP Debt is paid off.

Solaroid — This term collectively refers to Solar Exalted, Abyssal Exalted and Green Sun Princes. Considering that the latter two are derived from the former, it makes sense to have a term that could encompass them all. This term could also be used as a tag for any aspect of the game that could affect all 3 types because of their relationship to one another.
