What is your game about?

Suit Landing

In a sentence, the fast-paced cinematic lives of Mecha pilots. The end goal is to have equal focus on the person in the pilot’s seat as the machine they pilot. Players step into the shoes of people that pilot twenty foot tall robots to do combat with other twenty foot tall robots. The stories about a team of elite pilots and what an impact a handful of people can have over not only an entire world, but all of the known galaxy. The scope is on limited inner-planetary travel with the majority of the skirmishes being land based, multiple off-world colonies and no other known outside threats.

How does it go about doing that?

By having a a simple, streamlined system that bares resemblance to a traditional Role-Playing game without all the minutiae and bloat of normal Mecha games. We have to ask the question over and over, “Is this add fun to the game?” and redo or cut it if the answer is No. We’re not looking to reinvent the wheel. We strive to provide a rule set that is makes the game fun, not get in the way. We want players to ENJOY rolling dice but we want those rolls to be quick and smooth so the action moves on.

What behaviors does it reward?

Playing. We want people to be engaged and helping to keep the fast-paced play style moving. It shouldn’t matter how closely you pay attention to the rules or how well twinked out your Mecha is, it should focus on the player’s energy in the game and what they bring to the table in terms of excitement.

Why is that fun?

Mostly because piloting giant mecha is awesome. We’re also developing a rule set that makes the mechanics of the game as enjoyable as the story. We strive to create a rich yet loosely defined world in which your individual stories take the center stage and is easily shaped by the actions of the main characters.
