Assault Weapons

The standard small-arms of modern warfare, available to use with the Assault Weapons skill.

AR-556: The ubiquitous Assault Rifle of the UEG military, a perfect balance of weight, accuracy, damage and penetration power. Most of the construction is built from carbon nanotubes, with the barrel, reciever and action made of ultra-hardened steel. +4 Damage, Armor Penetration, Autofire, Accepts Launchers, 40 round clip

ASG-80: The Assault Shotgun is a powerful close-combat weapon firing 8 gauge shells. The chamber fits a wide variety of shells and casings, allowing many different ammunition types to be used. This allows the shooter to put many different shell types into one magazine, depending on the situation. A Pump-Action mode is included for use with low-powered shells, and for the fact that the slide makes a quite intimidating sound when operated. +Variable, Half Fire Rate, Autofire, 16 round clip

AK-470: This rifle is styled after the rifles commonly used by Communist armies in the late 1900s and religious zealots in the 2000s. Although powerful, the massive cartridge doesn't penetrate armor well compared to the 5.56mm and the recoil can make Autofire troublesome. +6 Damage, Autofire, -1 Attack during Autofire, additional +1 melee attack Damage, Accepts Launchers, 30 round clip

MP-9x: Originally touted 'the sure-bet SMG of the future', the MP-9x hasn't proven to be terribly useful in any field. Anything it can do has already been done before, and it suffers from the same problems as every other SMG. Although it can use any 9mm ammunition, there really isn't much reason for a soldier to carry it. +Variable, Ammo Types, Autofire, 30 round clip

  • Assault Variant: The Assault version of the MP-9x is designed to withstand the immense stress placed upon it in close-combat use. Comissioned by request from the 666th 'Devil Dogs' Shock Trooper battalion, the Assault variant is the subject of heated debate among weapons experts. Some even predict that the weapon could replace the ancient AR-556 as the main frontliner weapon in CQC.
