Magos Maxwell Bishop
Tech-Priest, specializing in Advanced Geller Field Manufacturing, Warp Propulsion Theory and Radiation Dampening Technology
Description: As with many older tech-priests, Maxwell Bishop’s physical body has undergone many modifications and augmentations. Records indicate that Magos Bishop had at least a Calculus Logi Upgrade, Cybernetic Senses, and a high quality Utility Mechandendrite.
Maxwell Bishop was born on Forge World Beta-Secundus of the Signarion System in the Calixis Sector. Most known for its manufacturing of interstellar drives and Geller Field generators the Adeptus Mechanicus operates under a unique Imperial decree which permits the indentured servitude of the Imperium’s citizenry. Bishop became indentured to the Adeptus Mechanicus yet somehow managed to keep his birth identity separate. This allowed him to draw upon a double salary as the planet’s Imperial decree declared that any human not consigned to the Adeptus Mechanicus would be awarded a salary and pension for living on the forge world to encourage continued migration to the planet. Such actions are not uncommon and are often the result of an oversight of the overworked Administorum, yet since Frank never sought to correct the error and was still drew a second salary over a 100 year time span after having formally being admitted into the ranks of the Tech-Priest, his actions indicate a predilection for heretical and subversive tendencies.
Investigation over Bishop’s finances showed that most of his additional income went towards the augmentation of his human body. His progression through the ranks of the Tech-Priests of Mars are for the most part quite unremarkable until he corrected an error that resulted in a drastic increase of energy efficiency in the propulsion factory he was assigned to. He claimed that the great machine spirit had spoken to him and had awoken certain parts within his still human mind to lead to this discovery and claimed to have insight in improving warp propulsion. From this point on Bishop rose through the ranks at an accelerated rate. Bishop’s discoveries eventually led to his assignment to Cygnus X-31 and the station’s renovation as being purely a manufacturer of Geller Field Generators to a facility designed to test and improve upon older designs.
Dr. Hans Reinhardt
Adept Logister, specialty in Warp Taint, Human Cell Mutation, and Medical Sciences
Description: Dr. Reinhardt is a tall man with a slim build and dark hair. His eyes have been registered as being biogenetically enhanced though he still wears a clunky pair of spectacles which provides with various magnification settings and spectral readings. At 6’ 2”, Dr. Reinhardt is a paragon of health hosting no other enhancements and moves with a spry step.
Dr. Reinhardt’s file describe him as a brilliant man who has excelled in academia while using his family connections to place him in positions of study that typically are reserved for those who have multiple years of professional experience. Originally from Oberon Secundus, the Reinhardt family is one of means and is known for their overly generous contributions to the Ecclesiarchy and medical research facilities in Oberon’s agricultural communities. The family owns a number of patents on gene splicing and grafting vat-grown artificially enhanced body parts to human tissue. Reinhardt’s early professional life is punctuated by his placement in many auspicious positions and prosperous endeavors, many of which has increased the family’s ownership of medical patents and Reinhardt’s recognition as an expert on human cell mutation. He is quite driven and even though he has managed to successfully use his family connections for personal gain in his professional life, it should not undermine his ability as one of the sector’s top ranking medical experts on warp taint and human cell mutation.
Dr. Reinhardt’s career took a drastic shift when he petitioned the Adeptus Mechanicus to open a medical research wing on the Cynus X-31. The Cygnus X-31 was a research facility designed to manufacture and improve Geller Field generators. Dr. Reinhardt’s request was to use the stations proximity to a relatively stable warp emission to conduct further tests on the effects of Warp radiation on human cells. What marks this as being such a drastic shift was that Dr. Reinhardt was forced to agree that any findings or advancements made thru his research on board the Cygnus X-31 would ultimately be owned by the Adeptus Mechanicus.
It has been hypothesized that such an addendum was intended to turn the young scientist away but Dr. Reinhardt accepted and enlisted several experts into his medical crew.
