You know, sometimes it’s nice to be an orphan.

Heh. Giorgo didn’t even give me any specific relatives—just generic “family.”

I haven’t decided what to do with Boeden’s relatives yet.

Uh…Boeden’s relatives are very calm, nice, peaceful, and plain folk. The DM not need, to waste her time with them. Nope, nothing to see there.

Boeden has siblings, right? Siblings can always lead to trouble.

The Narwin’s don’t venture out of their village, with the exception of Boeden. You would just be bored to tears thinking of something for them. Don’t trouble yourself, they are not worth the bother…

Oh, I think Boeden’s relatives are much more interesting than that…

I think you did a great job on Boeden’s family.

Hey, you’ve got a Mom-mystery, an up-and-coming powerful sister, and a brother who might, or might not, be involved in political intrigue. But unlike the Arnauds, they’re good people.

I am not sure I want to know the answer’s, but I have a feeling I am going to find out.

...and what do you mean “But unlike the Arnauds, they’re good people.”?!? We are an honorable family engaged in honorable business. Why should traders, who risk their gold and even their lives in their ventures, be forced to pay a part of their earnings, their hard-earned gold to enrich rulers? Who are these dukes and baronesses to dip their fingers in our purses? How are they any different from the bandits who ply the trade-routes we risk our lives and fortunes travelling? We are good people, bringing people goods and necessities they desire at prices uninflated by the thieving of tariffs. So what if we make a profit along the way? Who but a debt-marked fool works for free?
