The Whelk is a small fishing trawler based in the free port of Seawell, owned by the uncle of Paelvi, Joosef and Jarvi. It first appears in Interlude III as the transport for Paelvi and Joosef Hakkinen and Strahan Brano from the lighthouse to Seawell.
