On this Day of festivities, the King’s Games take place. Competitions of the mundane and arcane take place, including wrestling, crafting, singing, archery, the noble joust, the layman’s joust, specialty combats, the grand melee, peasant’s melee, summoning, prestigidation, and duals of all nature. Strange beasts were displayed and the mystery Azure knight tilted against the crown prince Brahmlet Turlain and bested him five lances to three as King August Turlain sat in attendance. Vanwafeya proved victorious in a peculiar archery dual against Sylvus, the Flame-maned elf. Both combatants were magically levitated and had to notch, draw, loose whilst balancing mid-air above the spectators. Once sufficiently recovered, our lass fought nobly in a peasantry melee of the half-dozen. Rafe the wizard from the foxglove tavern, in return for half of the winnings, magically hastened her to virtually assure her of victory. There was a tense moment where it was down to Vanwafeya and Brianne of Tarth(cameo appearance). The Maiden of Tarth disarmed the half-elf girl but was tackled and beaten into submission. Other half-elves of note in the festivities were Beleen and Fubar. After winning single’s matches on their own, they were pitted against an armored guardsman and were victorious. Vanwafeya returned to the foxglove tavern with a new steed from the stables of house Calisan, “Epona,” a small fortune in gold sovereigns (62gp), an honorable mention for her combat prowess and an invitation to the Dark Ball of Half-Lord Inyu Baynock. Beleen and Fubar were also steared towards the same tavern and met Balboreth and Rafe. Each returned to their own rooms. Beleen and Fubar with the intent to see this Arthur Desven person for themselves and see what opportunities are to be had.
