When the priest casts a create oil spell, up to 2 gallons of oil are generated for every experience level of the caster. The oil is equivalent to good quality cooking oil. Like cooking oil, it will not burn explosively, but can serve as lamp oil in a pinch and will sustain a flame if soaked into a rag just as cooking oil will. It is not suitable for flaming arrows as the velocity of the arrows will blow out the flames. The created oil can be dispelled within a round of its creation. Otherwise, its magic fades leaving normal oil that can be used, spilled, cooked with, etc. The reverse spell, destroy oil, obliterates without a trace a like quantity of oil. Oil can be created or destroyed in an area as small as will actually contain the liquid or in an area as large as 27 cubic feet (1 cubic yard).
Note that oil can neither be created nor destroyed within a creature.
The create oil spell requires at least a drop of oil; the destry oil spell, at least a pinch of dust.
