By means of this spell, the caster is able to touch any normally combustible material such as parchment, straw, cloth, wood, etc. The fire consumes material at a rate of 2d8 sq. in. per round and lasts until extinguished or until material is consumed. If material, such as cloth, is worn, the creature sustains 1d4 points of damage per round until extinguished, with a damage bonus of +2 if the creature is especially vulnerable to fire. If the creature is protected from fire, no damage is inflicted.
The material component for this spell is the caster’s holy symbol. The caster must concentrate and touch his holy symbol and the intended flammable material.
