Large river to the East of Sanctuary. The river never seems to freeze over even though it is fresh water. No one can understand this phenomenon as Winters in the area are particularly harsh.

There are only two known ways to cross the river, an ancient ferry that is anchored on both sides by crumbling towers or some 20 miles upstream there is a series of rapids that are shallow enough to cross.

Sanctuary maintains guards at both crossings.
