When we last left our heroes a terrible storm had forced The Sea Wyvern off course until it collided with a reef. The heavy seas had washed several of the crew overboard and the sharp coral had gouged a large hole in the side of the ship below the water line. Any one could clearly see that the ship was no longer sea-worthy if it was not resting on the reef it would have sunk to the bottom.

The adventurers had lost contact with each other, Valdis and Dalrin found themselves washed up on the beach with several of the passengers and crew. Trantil and Tamzana were still on the deck with more of the passengers and crew among them “Two Feathers” a longstrider shifter. In the turbulent sea were about half a dozen of the passengers and crew were struggling to get to shore among them Shallasar who had dived overboard, the aquatic elf being safer in the water than on the ship in this storm. Over to the east Hesse Tanner and the Woodman mother and baby, were clinging desperately to a rocky outcrop, getting hit by the waves breaking over them.
The main mast splintered and broke as lightening struck it, falling to the deck it pinned Trantil and Rothpol, Trantil was able to pull himself free, but Rothpol, was less fortunate his skull shattered by the blow. Trantil was able to angle the broken mast so that Tristy, who had been washed overboard, was able to grab the end.
Dalrin and Tamzana were making great use of their divine and arcane magic to transport those trapped on the ship, and rocks to the shore. Tamzana would transposition Dalrin with one of the passengers. Dalrin would then make a prayer to gods of the sea and a whirlpool vortex1 would open suspended vertically in the air, in front of him, which he would step into dragging two others with him. Then as the vortex collapsed another would open on the beach and Dalrin who step out with the people he’d rescued.
“Two Feathers” took a running leap towards shore, and managed to get some distance from the ship until a swirling wave washed her back towards the boat. She was floundering in the water when a masher surfaced right by her and took a bite. Seeing this new danger Shallasar, who had been dragging swimmers to the shore, turned and charged towards the giant eel. Dalrin gave a blessing of flight to Trantil and he too charged in at the masher. Valdis unleashed her offensive magic against the creature and together they made quick work of the dangerous beast unfortunately by then “Two Feathers” had sunk beneath the waves. They did not have time to search for her however as another masher had appeared and was heading towards the passengers still in the water.
This one took a vicious bite at Trantil, that knocked him unconscious, he drifted slowly towards the water. The huge fish prepared to strike again and drag his prey to the depths but just then Tamzana transpositioned herself with Trantil, taking the blow meant for him and dropping the wounded Trantil on the beach. Valdis blasted the creature with lightening before running to stabilise her fallen companion. Shallasar was able to finish the beast but not before the creature’s poisonous spines had struck him. With the threat of mashers defeated they adventurers were able to safely recover the rest of the survivors. “Two Feathers” came marching up the beach looking very damp and dragging a half drowned halfling with her. Dalrin used his flight to scout along the beach and found a number of other survivors that had been washed up further along the beach among them, Urol, Avner and Amella. Avner demanded someone help carry a case of his best wine he’d recovered, as Amella had insisted he carry it himself. Dalrin was happy to oblige and flew of with the case, giving the bottles out to the other survivors to drink.
Thanks to the efforts of the adventurers, twenty-four of the thirty souls on the Sea Wyvern made it safely to shore. Three bodies were recovered, and three were lost to the sea.1 Visual effect of Dalrin’s Dimension Door spell granted to him by the Travel Domain.

Dalrin actually cast fly on Trantil, alas that level of power is still beyond Tamzana’s grasp
