A 15-foot-high wooden palisade surrounds the landward approach into Farshore. While functional, the fortification was built by colonists who didn’t have an experienced engineer to lead them, and a simple glance by someone knowledgeable in such matters shows the wall isn’t nearly as strong as it could be.

The wooden palisade has been improved with an ditch in front, and stone footings and support behind.
