The party meets in the Vintage Cellar tavern to enjoy some complimentary drinks after saving the town. But their celebrating is interrupted by rats, and so the band ventures into the wine cellar to see where they are coming from. A loose grate reveals a drop down to some underground ruins which the party explores. A brief encounter with some flesh eating goals leads them to an oddly lit main chamber. A side room leads them to a disgusting rat swarm and its wererat leader. The party defeats them (thanks in part to Knolan summoning a Silver Bell) but finds the wererat to actually be the barmaid Teena.
They explored the rest of the ruins (see underground ruins ) and found their way out. The priest of Obad-Hai charged the party with bringing her to the capital city of Fitzleon and seek the high priest there to cure her.
While on the way, the party decides to ignore the passing by of a running, screaming man being chased by a big orc.
Upon arriving in Fitzleon, the party found the priest of Obad-Hai, but discovered him to have fallen on hard times and unable to perform the ritual to cure lycanthropy unless he was provided with the funds to pay for the materials. So the party split up to find some way to do it.
The Adventurer’s Guild was unhelpful (as the Kingdom had been drafting adventurers into the war with the north), as was the Entertainer’s Guild (membership difficulties.) The temple of Heironeus offered to fix the problem by having the Paladins exterminate the evil. An extraction was needed to keep Teena out of harm’s way, getting the unconscious wererat out via the ceiling of the temple.
The party hid out at the local inn to decide their next move, debating amongst themselves. Eventually, Dulin bluffed her way into the inner city to talk to Prince Regent Farizir who agreed to help the party in exchange for interrogating them about the ruins below the Vintage Cellar. The party was given a free feast, and the Prince Regent arranged for Teena to be cured. She thanked the party (though was still nervous due to their treatment of her earlier) and decided to stay behind to pursue their dreams of being an actress.
The party returned to town, only to find that tragedy had come to Morning on Crescent…
