I continue to be mystified by the actions of my fellow humans. My research on the matter, in such books as MACK Tactics, The Lowdown on Getting Down, the Bible, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, etc. has provided little help. There seem to be certain procedural norms that make society function, but no one seems to adopt all of them. These deviations from procedure cause lots of headaches. I seem to recall there being reasons for acting one way or another, but their validity in the face of efficiency escapes me now. The actions of my…coworkers during our interstellar jaunt leaves me somewhat mystified. Why there was any discussion about returning to earth? Our responsibilities are there. While we wasted time in discussing the matter, the better part of the more important parts of Chicago were stolen by Captain Kraken. Although he was apparently defeated in epic battle on top of the Sears Tower, I suspect the slippery squid will be back again. Either way, we successfully recovered Chicago, although we have yet to return it to earth.
