Public Security Section 6 is a newly formed covert law enforcement task force. Created largely due to the efforts of the new secretary general Natacha Dhiagelev, Section 6 is intended to undertake anti-terrorism, cyber-warfare and high level organized crime operations that are beyond the capabilities of the VNSPM. In addition, and uniquely, its remit includes any politically sensitive crimes involving members of the martian indigenous government, the planetary consortium or the hypercorps.

Falling outside the structure of the VNSPM the group reports directly to the Tharsis League Council, though currently its jurisdiction is limited to only Valles-New Shanghai and its immediate surrounds.
