Epic of Serinor

Though they retain the large build and ferocious features of their close relatives, the werewolves, the lukosians are actually quite frail physically. Often found clad in robes huddled over a book in the Library of Esselte or one of the innumerable magickal artifacts in their ubiquitous instatowers, they have forsaken nearly all physical activity to pursue higher truth and magickal knowledge. Their long-established neutrality in all matters gives them access to the cities of most races, allowing them to collect and hoard knowledge from every corner of Serinor.

Unfortunately, their affinity for the shadowkin and their role in the destruction of Achiela has rendered them completely unwelcome in human lands, and their war with the elves gets most of them killed on sight if they enter the Elven Isles.

Robes

A lukosian’s robes are his most precious belonging. They are bestowed upon him by his mentor when he reaches maturity as a sign of equality amidst all other lukosian scholars. He will never replace them, simply mending and cleaning them (or occasionally changing their color, all with magic, of course) as the need arises. Though they are bare and unadorned when first issued, the lukosian will stitch his accomplishments throughout his life into the robe in the arcane scratchings of the Wolf language. A lukosian’s robes are a testament to all he has accomplished in his life, and, upon his death, they will be archived in the Hall of Robes at Esselte for all posterity.
