Once upon a time, when the Seven Kingdoms were united and strong, the Crownways connected the greatest of cities together. Spaced at distances that were easily reached within one day’s travel were places for weary travelers to take lodging in relative safety. Although the Crownways are mostly fallen, many similar establishments remain in service today, and many Adventurers, happily take residence at these inns.
Inns range in quality from common, rustic affairs to grand, luxurious accommodations. At most inns, one can be assured of a place to sleep, even if it’s just a patch of floor for one’s bedroll. The poorest of travelers pay for space in a heated common room, while travelers with coin in their pockets can afford private rooms, baths, stabling for animals, personal grooming, and, at some inns, company in the beds they rent.
