ooking for work to fund their adventure by attending the bizarre in New Tu’Banor the party was offered a position by Bandor Morgain as loaders/un-loaders for his caravan. They accepted the position, and were told to report in the evening of the next day. Later that night, while at home, and preparing for their leave, they party realized that they were being stalked and spied on by a robed figure. They attempted to follow, but they concluded that some sort of magic was being used to prevent them from finding their target. The next morning they are approached by the robed figure, which turns out to be Alicia Undergrove with an employment opportunity from her employer, Marthis Grant (owner of the Glittering Orb Magic Shop). The job is to travel to an otherwise forgotten tomb in the City of Dead Kings where an artifact (a blue glowing stone) is located. Marthis needs this artifact to complete a staff he is constructing for one of his clients. Unfortunately, the entire area of the City of Dead Kings is infested by hundreds of tribes of Lizardfolk, and one tribe has come to inhabit this particular ancient tomb. The party accepts Marthis’ job offer (bailing on Bandor’s job offer), and accept his 100 gold pieces up front, with a promise of an additional one hundred gold pieces each, and a crate of a dozen of any of the potions from his shop that they desire (and the agreement that the party may keep any treasure they find other than the stone). The party makes the three day journey to the City of Dead Kings, along the way experiencing several strange events, including Alecia using some strange sort of magic to create a camp fire, and then completely disrobing before walking out into the sea, where she vanished for several hours beneath the waves. The party also encounter a gigantic tortoise making its way towards the sea (leading to quite a comical battle preparation). The party is eventually lead by Alicia to the forgotten tomb, where she sets camp up outside to wait for their return, and quickly set off to work. While in the tomb the party encounters several Lizardfolk, including a shaman, all of which they slay after quite an ordeal. They discover the tomb is far larger than they could have imagined, and they decide to set camp in the tomb, by covering themselves in dried lizard skins that fill a “molting chamber.” During the night Jaren sneaks out to inform Alicia that the job will require at least another day to complete due to the unforeseen size of the underground tomb complex. However, during the night, he does not return.

Additional Discoveries: Decimus finds out from Madam Shella that a one senator’s wife is cheating on him with another senator, and in turn the cheating senator’s wife is cheating on him with yet another senator. She is later “warned” for opening her mouth when someone in the brothel overhears her telling him this.
