The Black Sands Beach is located on the eastern side of Northern Tu’Banor. The sand upon the beach is actually pulverized volcanic rock and is known to sparkle like the heaves under bright sunlight (a result of tiny, miniscule particles of diamonds mixed in with the material). It is a place that is usually avoided since the abrasive glass-like sand irritates the skin upon contact. In fact, it was a punishment of the early Tu’Banor Senate for those convicted of rape or pillage to be sentenced to a dragging: this is when the convict would be drug by rope from horseback until large patches of skin had been removed from their flesh.
