Ashton Maximus Devon
Ashton Maximus-Devon met the Silver Phoenix Adventuring Company in the Underdark tunnel between the Pit of Seven Jaws and Bhal-Hamatugn. He and his companion Jarvyk Tedryk were the only survivors of a hook horror attack that had slain the other members of the expedition to raid the hoard of the black dragon Dhorlot. Ashton and Jarvyk agreed to join with Kort and the others, who themselves had just lost half their number to the erinyes devil bound to protect the Shrine to the Sea Mother in the heart of the kuo-toa outpost.
Ultimately, he was successful in acquiring from the dragon’s hoard the Phoenix Heart, an artifact that he hoped would help him restore his beloved fiancee. Unfortunately, the artifact was inert, and his research in Cauldron led him to the answer he needed to recharge the item. He decided to join forces with the Silver Phoenixes more permanently, in the hopes that they would be able to assist him in restoring the Phoenix Heart to full functionality. This was accomplished about six weeks later at the Skull in the center of the Abyssal plane of Occipitus, when Kort the Grey sacrificed himself to a plasma geyser and passed the final Test of the Smoking Eye. His selfless act stoked the magical gem to life.
This particular Necromancer is notably different from others of his ilk in the fact that he does not garb himself in the raiment’s of death. He is a tall, lean human with pale blond shoulder length hair and dark blue eyes. His pale skin is unmarked and seems to be lacking much proof of exposure to the sun, no freckles or noticeable scars. His soft facial features are commonly marked with sorrow and seem to have a hint of otherworldly origin. He normally dresses in finer clothing than other adventurers to reflect his family’s former social status. Most of said clothing consisting of vivid reds, blues and purples, not blacks and greys as one would expect.
