Bransen Jacoby

Bransen came to Cauldron seeking to make his own way adventuring. Having been home schooled, some of his notions about the nature of reality are a little skewed. Still, he is an affable young man with powerful magic at his disposal. He contends the existence of the gods, convinced that all magical power comes from within, and that books are a crutch upon which spellcasters such as Xelios depend, which limits their potential. He is convinced that his powers are the result of the charmed existence of his family line. He met the party the night of the wake held for Asuni and Flannigaul. He joined the company on the following day.

He quickly discovered a taste for danger, and the others consider him to be something of an adrenaline junkie. He does not fear death, convinced of his safety by virtue of his family’s gifts. Despite this reckless attitude, his spells have pulled the party through many tough situations. It strikes everyone but Bransen that he often has exactly the right spell for a given situation.
