Tedryk’s Grace

After Jarvyk escaped with the others from Occipitus, he made the requisite sacrifices to empower his ancestral relic and then once more performed the anointing ritual. Upon doing so, the sword began to speak. It claimed to be Jarl Tedryk, Jarvyk’s famous ancestor, and when informed of the situation at home, it encouraged the gold dwarf knight to return there as soon as possible.

Jarl was a planewalker in life, and has the bad habit of using the planar cant, particularly when excited or angry. He’s rather abrasive and talks down to just about everyone he encounters. He’s frustrated by the loss of all of but one of his knowledges, skills, and most importantly his ability to see in the dark. He really enjoys combat, however, and he seems to take solace in the fact that he is personally causing the blood of his foes to run.

. . .

In the City of Doors, the Chaos Maelstrom that occurred at the Gatehouse silenced Tedryk’s Grace. Jarvyk gave the blade to Cyrus to return to Heberron in Belmek.
